Watercolour Prints Now Available

High quality giclee prints of 10 of Brian’s best loved watercolours are now available to order exclusively from Naught Dog Creative Framing in Disley. Mark Davies at Naughty Dog is offering the prints in two sizes on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Paper with archival inks for the highest quality colour accuracy. The prints can be supplied unframed or framing can be arranged with Mark. Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, confirming that the prints are from the original work.

Joanne Dean, chair of the Brian Nolan Art Trust said, ‘We know that people are very fond of these pictures and would love to have them on their wall. As they are part of our core collection of Brian’s work, the original pictures will remain in the trust’s ownership, but we would like to offer the next best thing, a fine giclee print. Over the past few years Mark has framed many of Brian’s pictures for us in preparation for exhibitions, presenting the pictures beautifully and complementing those framed by Brian. We are delighted to be working with Mark on this new project’.

Prints can be ordered by contacting Mark on 01663 308206 or emailing him: mark@naughtydogcreative.com

Roman Lakes Pictures

In 2006 Brian donated six pictures to Marple & Hawk Green Band to help raise funds for The Charles Ingham Band Room. £2000 was raised towards the band room from the sale of pictures and signed prints.

The paintings were of scenes around the Roman Lakes area near Marple, Derbyshire. The whereabouts of the pictures and the prints remained unknown to the trust until recently when three of the prints were tracked down due to the work of Brian Nolan researcher Ian Smith.

Two of the prints, Across the Years and Fishing at Marple, were bought by Hawk Green band member Sue Emery who responded to Ian’s request for information about the pictures. Sue has very kindly donated the prints to the trust, for which we are extremely grateful.
